Youth Confirmation

Youth Confirmation is held on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am from September through May and is led by Pastor Wolfe.

As Lutheran Christians we maintain the historic practice of infant baptism. However, we do not believe that baptism is the end of a child's faith, but rather its very beginning. Thus Jesus says in the Gospel of St. Mark, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved (16:16)." To this end, that is faith and salvation, children who have been baptized enter into a time of rigorous spiritual education normally during middle school years. These two years of Confirmation are spent studying the Bible and the basics of the Christian faith as contained in Luther's Small Catechism: the Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. During this time of formation, youth are also expected  serve the congregation at worship through the minor office of acolyte.

If you have a youth who will be entering into seventh grade and are curious for more information regarding Confirmation, please contact Pr. Wolfe.
